Opened in July of 2008, the self promoted &#8220;future of movie going&#8221;, never managed to capture a sizeable share of the movie going market and struggled to even pay for operational\u00a0expenses; more the result of a\u00a0poor location and\u00a0weak marketing, than any true\u00a0fault with the venue itself. According to published reports, Ultra Star Cinemas will take over operations of the struggling theatre, aiming for a late Summer re launch and new attempt at luring in business.<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/WoodbridgeFront.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-557\" style=\"border: black 2px solid;\" title=\"Woodbridge Theatre\" src=\"http:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/WoodbridgeFront-300x188.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"188\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/WoodbridgeFront-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/WoodbridgeFront-150x94.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/WoodbridgeFront.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>On the opposite end of the\u00a0cinema spectrum, one of the county&#8217;s oldest operating movie theatres, Irvine&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/occinema.com\/2007\/08\/30\/woodbridge\/#more-128\" target=\"_blank\">Woodbridge 5<\/a>, is set to begin offering digital 3D projection this Friday.\u00a0The thirty year old, discount priced, Woodbridge completed a $70,000 digital install, in the site&#8217;s largest auditorium,\u00a0this week, with plans to be fully digital by year&#8217;s end.
