My primary objective was to finally get around to taking the official tour (like many Southern California residents, I often neglect to take advantage of such offerings). However, a secondary motivation was rooted in the controversial rumors that are currently\u00a0hanging over\u00a0the theatre&#8217;s\u00a0pending change in ownership.<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/GraumansChinese.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-771\" style=\"border: black 2px solid;\" title=\"Graumans Chinese\" src=\"http:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/GraumansChinese-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/GraumansChinese-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/GraumansChinese-150x112.jpg 150w, https:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/GraumansChinese.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>For those who haven&#8217;t been keeping up wit the news\/rumors\/gossip, there are alleged plans to either convert Grauman&#8217;s back to being a multi use venue (reinstate\u00a0live events and possibly rebuild the stage) or, according to more hysterical sources, turn the world&#8217;s most famous theatre in to a nightclub.<\/div>\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n<div>As to what I managed to uncover; while the theatre&#8217;s staff likely aren&#8217;t privileged to long term plans, I was left with the impression that\u00a0Grauman&#8217;s will continue on as a movie venue for the foreseeable future. Much of the current staff has been offered continued employment and there remain films\/premiers booked for several months to come.
