Opened in the Summer of 1990, the Tustin 6 was once part of a highly popular entertainment hub, featuring Tower Records and Bookstar. However, the theatre\u2019s glory days proved short lived, with the construction of the <a href=\"http:\/\/occinema.com\/2007\/08\/30\/marketplace\/\" target=\"_blank\">Edwards Marketplace Stadium 10 <\/a>(across the street) in 1999 and the closure of both Tower and Bookstar.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/TustinMarketplace6.jpg\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-957\" style=\"border: 2px solid black;\" title=\"Tustin Marketplace 6\" src=\"http:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/TustinMarketplace6-191x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"191\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/TustinMarketplace6-191x300.jpg 191w, https:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/TustinMarketplace6-95x150.jpg 95w, https:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/TustinMarketplace6-652x1024.jpg 652w, https:\/\/cinelog.org\/cinelog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/TustinMarketplace6.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 191px) 100vw, 191px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Serving as a slightly discounted mid run house during its\u2019 last decade, there was a glimmer of hope for the venue a year ago, when digital projection was added; but, the upgrade ultimately proved fruitless, as the theatre continued to experience dismal attendance.
