In conjunction with the Fox Fullerton’s 85th anniversary celebration, the Fox Historic Theatre Foundation has announced that phase one of the property’s renovation will begin this fall. The $6 million project will focus on the complex’s exterior and refurbishment of adjoining commercial spaces. Work on the theatre is being scheduled for a later phase, as the commercial spaces offer the opportunity for a steady income, once tenants are able to occupy the units.

Thus far, most of the theatre renovation has consisted of basic cleanup work and efforts to stabilize the site, so as to avoid further decay. However, thereĀ  has been talk that the Fox may be up to code in the near future, allowing for regular live performances to be held in the auditorium.

It is very difficult to get any information on the Fox Fullerton project. I do appreciate your update above, but am wondering if you can direct me to a source that provides regular updates with specific timelines, budget info, financiers, developers and architects behind the project etc..

    Thanks,

Your best bet for Fox Fullerton renovation news would be the Fullerton Historic Theatre Foundation site; which is listed on our cinema links list as “Fox Fullerton Theatre”. While their site isn’t always updated in a timely fashion, they are the group in charge of the effort.
